We all love Christmas at home with our delicious mincemeat pies, roasts and eggnog especially the mistletoe ! However  Christmas is also a time when we spend time with our  family and distant relatives like great aunt Hilda! This year get away from it all and go to a different place this Christmas.

Below is a selection of all the best places to visit this yuletide season! So don’t  stay at home and party with your folks in a distant locality for a Christmas experience like never before.

Savvy shoppers know to visit London for its after-Christmas sales but for pre-Christmas spending sprees, New York City is tops. Deep markdowns have already begun in city stores, and the window displays at department stores such Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman are also not be missed; they cheerfully skew traditional holiday scenes.

Described as a mountain of churches Montreal is a great place to spend Christmas. Another bonus is that it also offers a lot of winter sports such as sledding and skiing, so there is never a boring moment and Christmas is more adventurous than before.
