But the most interesting sunset I ever watched was at Point Barrow, Alaska on the shortest day of the year. The sun was only up for 1 hour and 12 minutes, and did little more than peek over the horizon. The sun itself did not look very fiery, but reflective ice fog glittered in the air like rainbow dust.
