The palace is the most important building type in any country. In many ways it represents the highest level of the traditional architecture. The design palaces are focused on the order and logic so as to play up the sense of imperial power, which has distinct characteristics of nation and time.

Defined as a magnificent residence, especially for those who are Head of State or of royal lineage, many palaces are now used for other purposes like hotels, museums or parliaments.

    You should have added the winter palace in St.Petersburg to this list as well. Otherwise the list is pretty good.
